Training Opportunities

James H. Clark & Son, Inc. offers training oppurtunites for new CDL-A holders.  Drivers who have been off of the road for an extended period of time, may also quailify for a more condensed training opportunity.

All applicants must first complete truck driving school through a reputable training establishment and have a current CDL class A license, as well as current DOT medical card.

New Driver training usually takes between 8 to 12 weeks, (based on management decision.) After Completion of training, Trainees will be given a truck assignment, and be well on their way to a great career in truck driving with James H. Clark & Son, Inc.

  • We request that any person who is accepted into the James H. Clark and Son, Inc. training program, commit to 1 full year of driving with our company, after training has completed.
  • Trainees are brought in based on trainer availability, and go through our normal application processing.

Qualifications:

  • To qualify, trainees must live within 50 miles of the Salt Lake valley area, or be able to provide their own housing when their trainer has time off of the truck.
  • James H. Clark and Son, Inc. does not provide housing for trainees.
  • It will be to any applicants advantage to have a clean MV record, as well as a good back ground check.
